About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    My Sister Loves It

    I bought this in Grass for my trip overseas. My sister "tried it on a second" and never gave it back! It is a nice lightweight bag that is unusual, stylish, and practical. The lining comes out to wash, and thank God because my cooler leaked water on the leather for like 8 hours before I noticed. No bleeding from the dye. Excellent. I will have to order another for myself now. I am eyeing Cognac and Blue. Grass sold out! Check back for restock. Grass is very pretty.

    Such a rich green!

    I love love love my new Prado bag! Sometimes leather colors can look cheap but not Latico. They did a phenomenal job with the shade of green and it's perfect for summer. I love the inside being a canvas type material so it keeps the bag light to carry and fill with everything you need for a day out on the town.
