About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

Today, our customers refer to us as their “one-stop shop” for quality leather goods. In fact, over 80% of our business comes from repeat customers. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support!

    Spacious yet easy to use for everyday

    I always overstuff my bags, making sure to have all the things I need. This bag has been great to hold all my items. I don't even need a wallet because this has built in card holders! So convenient and designed with convenience in mind. I plan on buying it in another color!

    Love looks but frustrating

    The outside phone pocket with the magnet is ingenious but my phone won’t go all the way in if I put anything in the outside zipper pocket. Whatever little is in the zipper pocket creates enough bulk to block the phone. If I sit down, I can hold the phone to slide it all the way to the bottom of the phone pocket by pushing against whatever is in the zipper pocket. I need a bag that I can easily access and store my phone while I’m out and about. I could put my phone in the outside zipper pocket and not use the phone pocket at all. Very frustrating.
